Zimi's Restaurant

Food + DrinkLincoln Square · Balkan/Pizza Community-sourced, unverified
📍 5077 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60625

Zimi's Restaurant carries Balkan comfort food and pizza under one roof in Lincoln Square, after a few years operating in Rogers Park under the older name "Pizza And Grill." The menu leans into both halves of that history at once — qebapa and pleskavica (grilled minced-meat preparations familiar across the former Yugoslavia) and burek (phyllo pastry stuffed with meat or cheese) sit alongside straightforward pizza, an unusual but genuine combination rather than a confused one.

Sources disagree on whether to call it a pizzeria or an Italian spot with Balkan leanings, which is itself a sign of how blended the menu actually is — less a single-cuisine destination than a neighborhood kitchen that kept what worked through a move and a rename.
