The kitchen makes its noodles fresh every day and leans into dishes a lot of suburban Chinese spots skip entirely — whole spicy fish casserole, sea cucumber, a real crab and lobster list — rather than playing it safe with a combo-plate menu. The signature move is the weekend Noodle Show, hand-pulled noodles made tableside, and it's specifically a Schaumburg-location thing, not something every Yu's branch does.
More than four decades of serving the same neighborhood is its own kind of credibility, no discount required.
