Wolf & Company opened in Bucktown in June 2025 as less a restaurant and more a small campus: 10,000 square feet across two floors, built by Sol Ashbach, Gus Lappas, and Ankur Joshi, the same team behind Little Bad Wolf and Gretel.

The ground floor runs a full restaurant — pizzas, house-made pastas, hand-cut steaks, seasonal seafood — alongside a butcher-and-deli counter stocked with house-butchered meats and made-to-order sandwiches, and a market selling pantry staples and small-batch local goods, so a dinner reservation can turn into grocery shopping without leaving the building. Weekend brunch brings pistachio French toast, a crab and asparagus benedict, and bottomless mimosas, served 10am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday. But the real differentiator sits upstairs: Bar 606, a 20-seat cocktail lounge with city views that opens directly onto The 606, the elevated Bloomingdale Trail — making Wolf & Company one of the very few private businesses in Chicago with a physical connection straight off the trail itself.

Chicago Magazine has already singled out the burgers, and Windy City Times called the sliders some of the best they'd had in a long time. Between the restaurant's late hours (open until 10:30pm on weekends), Bar 606 running until midnight Fridays and Saturdays, and a cafe pulling espresso from 7am, this is a building built to be relevant at almost any hour of the day.
