Co-chefs Dani Kaplan and Tyler Hudec, with Pat Ray running the front of house, bring serious pedigree from stints at Violet Hour, Boka, Sepia, and Lula Cafe, and they've built a menu with real personality: Spaghetti Uh-O's (anelli pasta in tomato-vodka sauce with handmade mini meatballs, served tableside in a custom can), a double-fried chicken marsala finished with Hidden Valley ranch sauce, and an 18-hour-fermented focaccia with garlic honey butter.
The room backs up the attitude — flea-market art, red leather booths, a 20-seat butcher block bar, and a 15-foot 'Last Supper' painting — and the Chicago Tribune named it a 2026 Critic's Choice winner for the effort.
