Tropical Taste runs a straightforward Dominican kitchen on North Avenue, and the two dishes that keep showing up in reviews are the oxtail guisado — a slow-braised stew with real depth — and a roast chicken that The Infatuation calls genuinely juicy, not the dried-out steam-tray version too many lunch counters settle for.
