Triple Crown earned its reputation less for its daytime dim sum — solid, but not the draw — and more for what happens after 10pm, when Time Out says it's 'drunken dim sum time.' A dedicated late-night small-plates menu kicks in: garlicky peapod greens, salt-and-pepper pork chops, quail in a peppery black bean sauce, built for a crowd that's already been drinking elsewhere and wants something sharp and savory to soak it up.

By day, live tanks hold lobster, sea bass and Dungeness crab for anyone wanting fresher seafood than the standard Chinatown steam table offers.

It's been around long enough — more than a decade on a side street before moving to Wentworth's main strip — to have built a real late-night following on reputation alone.
