The daytime menu reads like a proper neighborhood cafe — breakfast plates, sandwiches, paninis, salads, soups — but the real reason people drive out of their way to Happ Road is the case up front: artisan breads, cookies, cupcakes, pies, tarts, and cakes made to order for whatever the occasion calls for. There's no happy-hour gimmick here and it doesn't need one; this is the kind of place a town leans on for the birthday cake, the holiday pie order, and the Tuesday-morning coffee run, in roughly equal measure.
Open early (as early as 4 a.m. Sundays) and closed by early afternoon most days, so it runs on a baker's clock, not a restaurant's.
