Founder Kaye Zubow Kharasch built the operation in 2017 around a single red micro-roaster nicknamed 'Rosey the Roaster,' roasting beans in-house in small batches rather than buying pre-roasted stock, and selling both by the pound and wholesale alongside the espresso drinks and pastries. Bagels come from Upper Crust rather than made in-house, and the location puts it right in the path of anyone heading to or from the Chicago Botanic Garden.
Open mornings only, extending slightly later on weekdays than weekends.
