Chicago restaurateur Michael Madden, a Wilmette native who also built the Left Coast Food & Juice concepts, brought the concept in alongside operating partner Jeff Gronske in spring 2022, taking over from the previous operator (A La Carte Grill, which had run the space since 2018). The menu sticks to relaxed, crowd-pleasing basics done well: burgers, ribs, steaks, and salads, the kind of food that works for a post-round beer or a full sit-down dinner.
It's a lower-key pick than the newer destination restaurants nearby, and that's the actual appeal — a real neighborhood spot with a view, not trying to be anything else.
