📍 801 Plainfield Rd, Darien, IL 60561

Taktuka Moroccan Kitchen gives Darien's Plainfield Road a cuisine that's genuinely hard to find anywhere in this part of the southwest suburbs — real lamb and chicken tagine, couscous, kefta, and chicken kabobs, the kind of menu that takes its name from taktouka, a classic Moroccan tomato-and-roasted-pepper dish, rather than a generic 'Mediterranean' catch-all.

Genuine Moroccan tagine and couscous cooking — a rare, dedicated cuisine for this stretch of Darien's Plainfield Road corridor.

Moroccan mint tea rounds out the experience properly.

For a corridor dominated by the usual suburban rotation of pizza, sushi, and sports bars, having a dedicated Moroccan kitchen is a real point of distinction.
