The building itself has real history — a 1923 cold storage warehouse, bought by Sterling Bay in 2012 as the neighborhood's meatpacking-district identity gave way to restaurants. The 22oz bone-in ribeye and beef Wellington are the headline cuts, and the restaurant personalizes special-occasion visits with handwritten notes and, on request, a magician making the rounds — a real, specific touch, not generic "ask about our specials" copy.
A 4.8-star rating across more than 5,200 OpenTable reviews backs it up. (Worth knowing: a separate Wrigleyville offshoot, Swift & Sons Tavern, is a different, lower-rated restaurant under the same name — don't confuse the two.)
