The York Street cafe serves breakfast and lunch daily from 7am to 3pm, and it has a sister location in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The skillets are the headliners. Zeus on Fire piles grilled chicken, spinach, tomato, mushroom and onion under spicy feta. Oh Yams brings sweet potato, Brussels sprouts and bacon, and Perfectly Un-Kosher goes all in on bone-in ham, bacon and sausage. The scramblers are named North Side, South Side and Other Side, which is a very Chicagoland joke for a suburb, and there are omelets and breakfast bowls of ancient grains and cauliflower rice for the virtuous.
The sweet side is where the menu gets loud. There's a Reese's peanut-butter-cup pancake, blueberry-lemon cheesecake cakes, butterscotch s'mores pancakes, Bananas Foster French toast, and apple churros French toast with cinnamon sugar, vanilla bean cream and brown-butter apples. The Flight Combo stacks mini waffles with Nutella and cookie butter. Lunch runs to a double cheeseburger, Cobb salads and sandwiches. Order online through Toast, or ask about catering trays for the office.
