📍 7925 Golf Rd, Morton Grove, IL 60053

Spice and Fire Grill fills a real gap in Chicago-area Middle Eastern dining — Iraqi cuisine specifically is genuinely hard to find here, even with the city's broader Middle Eastern restaurant scene being as deep as it is.

The family-run kitchen in Morton Grove runs shawarma and kebabs alongside a falafel built with amba sauce, a tangy, mango-based condiment that's a distinctly Iraqi touch most falafel spots skip in favor of plain tahini.

One reviewer went as far as calling it the best Iraqi restaurant in the entire Chicago area, a meaningful claim in a category with so few real contenders to compare it against.
