Shokran

Food + DrinkIrving Park · Moroccan Community-sourced, unverified
📍 4027 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago, IL 60641

Shokran serves its tagines the traditional way — in covered earthenware vessels that keep the dish steaming when it hits the table — and Chicago Magazine specifically singled out the sweet chicken couscous as the standout order.

$$

It's a cash-only operation on Irving Park Road, the kind of detail that marks it as a real neighborhood fixture rather than a concept chasing a broader crowd.

Moroccan food is genuinely underrepresented across Chicago's restaurant landscape, and Shokran is one of the more consistently cited names when people go looking for it.
