S.K.Y. is chef Stephen Gillanders's contemporary American restaurant — Gillanders spent a decade with chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten before opening it — which relocated in March 2025 from its original Pilsen home to the historic Belden-Stratford building in Lincoln Park.

The cooking leans Asian in places that surprise: Maine lobster dumplings in jade butter, lumpia rolls filled with tuna tartare, and a fried chicken with habanero butter and creamed corn that reads purely American until the first bite. Chicago Magazine named it their favorite restaurant in the city in its 2026 "50 Best" feature, and it holds a Michelin Plate plus consecutive Opinionated About Dining recognitions.

A 4.7-star rating across roughly 300 OpenTable reviews backs it up. Weekend brunch runs 10AM-2PM.
