Mulata Kitchen & Coffee

Food + Drink · Brazilian Community-sourced, unverified

📍 136 N Oak Park Ave, Oak Park, IL 60301

Mulata Kitchen & Coffee is the real successor to the old Taste of Brasil Cafe — same phone number, same owner, a fresh Oak Park address since opening in May 2019 after the original location closed.

The menu runs lighter and more cafe-format than a full Brazilian steakhouse: empanadas (pastel assado), pao de queijo cheese bread, sandwiches like the Turkey Meltdown, and a coffee program built around different Brazilian growing regions.

It's less a destination dinner and more a real neighborhood cafe doing Brazilian flavors properly, worth knowing if you're in Oak Park and want something other than the usual coffee-shop lineup.
