Mickey Finn's Brewery

Food + DrinkDowntown Libertyville · Brewpub / American Community-sourced, unverified
📍 345 N Milwaukee Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048

Mickey Finn's Brewery has a claim almost no other Libertyville business can match: it's Illinois's oldest continuously operating microbrewery and brewpub, tracing back to 1994 when it opened as one of the state's first craft breweries, right next to the original Mickey Finn's Tavern.

$$
Illinois's oldest continuously operating microbrewery and brewpub, pouring 12+ beers brewed on-site since 1994.

Current owner Brian Grano took over in 2004 and moved the whole operation into its current downtown building in 2014, complete with a 57-foot bar, a beer garden, and a stage that actually gets used — karaoke Thursdays, live music Friday and Saturday. The beer is the real headline, with 12-plus handcrafted brews on tap alongside a kitchen turning out fish and chips, thin-crust pizza, and the usual burger-and-sandwich lineup.

Weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday mornings into early afternoon, for anyone treating the beer garden like a daytime destination instead of a nightlife one.
