Le Sud is a women-owned Roscoe Village restaurant from proprietor Sandy Chen (also behind Koi Fine Asian Cuisine), who built the concept around her own travels through the South of France and the Basque region of Spain.

Executive chef Ryan Brosseau brings a real pedigree — Table, Donkey and Stick and Perennial Virant both on his resume — to a menu ABC7's Hungry Hound covered for its foie gras tart, bouillabaisse, and Nicoise salad, alongside escargots, steak frites, hand-rolled pasta, and an apple tarte tatin. Half-price wine runs Wednesdays, and a three-course prix fixe runs $45.
