The space doubles as a rotating local-art gallery and a stage for free live music, and as of this fall it's hosting exhibits on Lake Bluff's 125th anniversary in partnership with the town's own history museum — not the kind of thing a generic brewpub bothers with. The food menu earns its keep independent of the beer: twice-fried duck wings, pulled pork sliders, and a brisket sandwich that regulars order on repeat.
There's no happy hour or coupon here, and the brewery doesn't pretend otherwise — the pitch is simply good house-brewed beer and real bar food in a room that's become downtown Lake Bluff's actual living room.
