He runs it alongside Eric Song (chef/owner of Komorebi, Rollapalooza, and Kizuna), and the omakase format lets a rotating cast of fish reflect two decades of combined big-city sushi experience in a considerably more casual Arlington Heights room. There are four signature omakase menus; the King runs 11 pieces of nigiri for $89.70, which is a legitimate deal next to what the same chef pedigree would cost inside the city. Reservations are recommended and bookable through Tock -- this isn't a walk-in-and-hope kind of room.
