Ignite Arcade is the North Shore's answer to the question every group chat eventually asks: where can we drink, eat and argue over air hockey at the same time?

The Skokie Boulevard venue is a full arcade, bar and kitchen under one roof, with more than 100 cabinets running on tap cards that never expire. Racing sims, shooters and head-to-head classics pay out tickets you can cash in for prizes. The rest of the room is built for crews. Plush console booths have PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario Kart and Smash queued up, private Rock Band studios hold up to six would-be headliners, and there are pool tables plus a PC and Xbox zone with real gaming rigs. The bar leans into the bit. There's a Mario Margarita with strawberry and basil, a Metroid Mangonada, Jell-O shots served in syringes and a Master Sword shotski for six.

The kitchen keeps up with sliders, wings, 10-inch housemade-dough pizzas and handspun shakes. The deals are the reason to go midweek. Happy hour runs Tuesday through Friday from 4 to 6pm, Tuesdays are half off games, and the $25 Infinity Pass buys a full day of PC or Xbox play Sunday through Friday. Everyone's welcome until 9pm, after which it's 18 and up. It stays open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
