Huettenbar is the kind of small, dark, unapologetically old-school German tavern that writers keep describing as one of the 'last surviving' examples of its kind in Lincoln Square — pouring steins since 1985, no food, no pretense, just a deep German and Austrian beer list (Spaten, Edel-Kirsch) and a front window that opens fully once summer hits.
