They describe it as a modern American restaurant built on simple fare, seasonal ingredients and energetic hospitality, with a Scandinavian accent running through the menu, and the résumé backs it up: a Michelin star from 2017 through 2023, Bon Appétit's number two best new restaurant in America and Eater's national best new restaurant when it opened, and a Jean Banchet Chefs of the Year award in 2020. David cooked under a Michelin star at Blackbird before this, and Anna, the pastry chef, has her own shelf of awards. You can go two ways.

The $145 set menu runs nine courses, from a tea of lightly smoked fruits and vegetables and crispy Danish pølser with pickles and remoulade to a duck liver tart, grilled flat iron and a whipped gjetöst cheesecake, with a $65 wine pairing or a $35 juice pairing. Or order a la carte, served family style: oat porridge sourdough with cultured koji butter, tuna tartare with 'nduja, caramelle with chanterelles, frikadeller sausage and Anna's desserts, including a sunflower seed parfait with sour honey and bee pollen. Dinner runs Thursday through Monday, the bar takes reservations, and there's a seasonal patio.
