Owners Zoe Schor and Whitney LaMora opened it on Valentine's Day 2020, got shut down almost immediately by the pandemic, and didn't reopen until July 2022 — a genuinely rough start that the bar has clearly worked past, since it's become established enough to spin off a second venture (Fathom, in Lakeview, also added to this database). The room itself runs a 70s-basement theme, and the drink list stays tight and rotating — eight cocktails at a time per The Infatuation's review, not a sprawling menu trying to be everything. Programming is the real draw: drag, burlesque, comedy, karaoke, a Silent Book Club night, and an open mic popular enough to sell out within minutes of tickets going up.
The annual Gay Prom around Pride Month is the signature event. Accessibility is handled seriously and specifically — elevator access via a marked door on Campbell Avenue, four gender-neutral ADA restrooms, and a posted phone number to call on arrival for help getting in, rather than leaving guests to figure it out. No happy hour or published drink prices turned up in research; Instagram is the best source for the current cocktail list.
