Dimmi Dimmi is what happens when a chef who spent a decade opening Carbone and Torrisi locations for Major Food Group in New York decides to come home and 'slow down a hair': Matt Eckfeld, a Michigan native mentored by Cornerstone Restaurant Group partner Bill Kim, took over the old Tarantino's space in Lincoln Park and built a red-sauce Italian American menu with real New York pedigree behind it.

The orecchiette with spicy tomato cream sauce and housemade Slagel Farms sausage is a direct nod to Tarantino's own best-seller, while a hamachi crudo diavolo and an 'Italian beef' carpaccio (giardiniera, parmesan, beef jus aioli) show the kitchen reaching past the expected.
