Crosby's Kitchen opened on the Southport Corridor in 2012 under 4 Star Restaurant Group — Doug Dunlay, Michael Dunlay, Derek Rettell, and Josh Rutherford, a team with a combined 110 years in Chicago restaurants — and built the menu around a wood-fired rotisserie rather than a standard grill or oven setup.

Kids eat free every day from 4-6pm, plus lobster deviled eggs and wood-fired rotisserie chicken, at the Southport Corridor original (since 2012) of this now-expanding Chicago restaurant group's rotisserie concept.

Rotisserie chicken is the anchor, but the dishes that actually built the following are the sides and starters: lobster deviled eggs, smoked trout toast, iron skillet cornbread, and a cookie skillet dessert that regulars order as a main event rather than an afterthought. The Wrightwood salad gets specifically called out as a reason to come back even on nights you don't want the chicken.

Families get real, practical treatment here — a stroller valet, booster stools built into the bathroom, and kids eating free every single day from 4 to 6pm, a standing deal rather than a one-off promotion.
