He wasn't looking to open a second location -- a stroll through downtown Aurora changed his mind, and with help from the city he bought the building (and an adjacent lot) at 41 S. Stolp Ave, opening in August 2022. A 2022 Naperville Magazine review (Phil Vettel) called the Aurora kitchen virtually identical in execution to the well-regarded Geneva original.
The menu leans toward light, clean New American fare from local artisan producers, with more than a dozen dishes -- including every salad -- gluten-free, alongside late-night ramen and handcrafted cocktails; rotating risotto and other chef specials run beyond the printed menu, backed by a strong, knowledgeably-tended bourbon list.
