Cira does the thing a hotel restaurant rarely pulls off: it reads as a genuine neighborhood destination rather than an afterthought bolted onto the lobby.

Chef Chris Pandel's all-day Mediterranean menu earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand for good reason — it's built around shareable small plates that reward ordering widely rather than picking one entree and calling it a night. Flounder crudo and a brown-butter hummus anchor the lighter end, falafel gets dressed with pickled carrot and za'atar yogurt instead of playing it generic, and a pistachio ravioli keeps showing up as the dish regulars steer first-timers toward. Weekend brunch (9:30am-2:30pm) is the real reason to make a special trip, running alongside a separate Cafe Cira counter for a faster coffee-and-pastry option earlier in the day.

It's worth noting Cira itself doesn't run a happy hour — that's Cabra, the Peruvian rooftop spot one floor up in the same Hoxton building, a genuinely easy mix-up given how often the two get lumped together in write-ups. Cira's own pitch stands on its own: thoughtful Mediterranean cooking that happens to live inside a stylish hotel lobby rather than depending on the hotel to carry it.
