Chiya Chai Cafe

Food + DrinkLogan Square · Nepali Community-sourced, unverified
📍 2770 N Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60647

Chiya Chai Cafe built its name around chai first — it opened in 2016 as a Nepali tea-focused cafe, a genuinely different angle than most Himalayan restaurants that lead with curry and momos.

$

A 2018 Hoodline ranking of Chicago's Nepalese spots put it at the top of the list, and the menu has grown to include dumplings, homemade pies, coconut curry shrimp, and a creamy chicken masala alongside the chai program that gave the place its name.

It's a Logan Square fixture that splits the difference between a coffee-shop hangout and a real sit-down Nepali kitchen.
