That single-minded focus is still the whole identity; the menu runs pork carnitas, tacos dorados, ensalada de nopales, and an "Especial" carnitas plate, and not much else needs saying. The business describes itself as "distinctly and unapologetically Mexican," backing that up in texture as much as food.
It's grown to three Chicago locations off the same recipes, though not all are equal: the 18th Street spot is takeout-only, while this 26th Street address in Little Village and the 55th Street location both have dine-in seating -- making this one of the two real flagships rather than a satellite counter. In 2019, the restaurant ran its first-ever TV commercial, an eight-week Univision spot called "Dichos."
