Bien Trucha's modern, Mexico City-inspired menu and hand-shaken margaritas grew that four-table start into one of the western suburbs' most talked-about Mexican kitchens. Street parking across from the restaurant is difficult to cross safely — park on the same side. Closed Mondays. It's the original of what's now the Bien Trucha Group -- A Toda Madre in Glen Ellyn ( in this database) is its younger sibling, sharing the same seasonal, locally-sourced approach and a genuinely deep tequila/mezcal bar program.

There's a small outdoor patio tucked between two buildings for warmer months, and reservations work the same limited way as at A Toda Madre: a handful held each night, the rest of the room left for walk-ins, so a party without a booking isn't out of luck.
