Barraco's

Mount Greenwood · Italian/Pizza Community-sourced, unverified
📍 3047 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655

Barraco's opened in Mount Greenwood in 2014 as the sixth location of a family pizza-and-Italian chain that's grown out from Evergreen Park, Crestwood, and Orland Park — its first actual Chicago restaurant, taking over the old Corrigan's Restaurant & Pub space on 111th Street.

$$
A full Italian menu (pasta, steaks, seafood) alongside pizza and 24 beers on tap, in an 8,000-square-foot space with a banquet room for 100 — a regional chain's first real Chicago location.

Owner Fran Barraco built the concept specifically to work both ends of a night out: kids can get pizza while the adults order off a full menu of pasta, steaks, and seafood, with wine pulled from a wall of hundreds of bottles next to a bar running 24 beers on tap. The space itself is a genuine production — roughly 8,000 square feet total, with a private outdoor dining area for 40 and a banquet room that seats 100, built for parties and events as much as a regular Tuesday dinner. A 2015 roundup noted a 25%-off-pizza Monday deal, dine-in only, though that's old enough now (over a decade) that it's offered here as historical color rather than a current, verified special — call ahead if that's the draw.

What's more solidly confirmed is that the restaurant is still actually open: a City of Chicago health inspection passed as recently as November 2024, which is about as unglamorous and reliable a signal as research turns up for a restaurant without an active social media presence. No website, Instagram, or Facebook account was found in research either, despite a deliberate search — for a multi-location regional chain, that's a real gap, though not one that affects whether the food's worth the drive to 111th Street.
