Barcocina Lakeview is the Sheffield Avenue sibling of the West Town original, a few blocks from Wrigley and a short walk from the Diversey Brown Line, and it's built for exactly the kind of day Lakeview specializes in: brunch that turns into the patio, which turns into margaritas.

The menu is the same passport-stamped taco list that made the brand, with Greek chicken with feta, Jamaican jerk chicken with mango salsa, adobo steak with Chihuahua cheese, bang bang shrimp or cauliflower, guajillo brisket, mahi mahi and a birria taco with spicy consommé, plus a 15-taco tower when the group refuses to decide. Around it you get Barcocina guacamole with a pasilla balsamic reduction, a truffle street corn guac, yucca tots with a creamy cheese center and firecracker shrimp, with margaritas by the glass or pitcher, from the house pour to the serrano-spiked house fire. The deals are what keep the regulars coming.

Weekday happy hour knocks margaritas, beers and snacks to half off, Tuesday is the $35 Taco Passport with unlimited tacos and a margarita flight, and weekends bring a $60 bottomless brunch that adds a breakfast buffet and a DJ. October brings pumpkin painting nights, and the bar opens at noon on weekdays.
