Bandit calls itself a "farm-to-bar, come-as-you-are, sports-loving, low-key, high-vibe staple," and on a stretch of Randolph better known for tasting menus, that's a refreshing pitch.

It's DineAmic Hospitality's neighborhood bar (the group behind Siena Tavern and Barrio), with twinkle lights, neon beer signs and vintage junk on the walls. The designers describe it as glamour meets grit. The kitchen is better than it needs to be. Disco waffle fries come buried in bulgogi-braised short rib, Hook's 5-year cheddar and year-old kimchi. The Diplomat is a shareable spread of Linz Heritage Angus sliders on Parker House rolls, and Nashville hot tenders come on a scallion pancake, ridiculously hot if you ask.

The week is a schedule of deals. There's Miller Monday ($15 burger and a High Life), $5 tacos on Tuesday, $1 wings on Wednesday, $35 select pitchers on Thursday and $10 well drinks every day. Weekday happy hour from 4 to 6pm keeps everything under $10, the upstairs "Bandit on Two" bar runs $9 martini-and-fries on weekend nights, and weekend brunch adds $34.99 bottomless mimosas and Bloodys. It's open until midnight early in the week, until 2am Thursday and Friday and 3am Saturday, and it's 21+ after 9pm on weekends. Reserve on Resy.
