Antico Posto's name is a bit of a trick -- "the old spot" in Italian, chosen deliberately so a restaurant that opened fresh inside Oakbrook Center mall would feel like it had been there forever -- and by October 2024 the bit had become true: the restaurant marked 25 years at the address.

The kitchen traces back to chef John Chiakulas, who serves as corporate chef for parent company Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises and built his career the long way -- starting at Ambria in 1981 and working up from fish butcher to executive chef of Scoozi!, picking up his Italian technique through years of travel in Italy and work across more than three dozen LEYE restaurants. The dining room leans rustic trattoria, with Tuscan murals over a Neapolitan-style brick oven.

Weekday happy hour (Mon-Thu, 3-5pm, dine-in only) runs $5 select beers, $7 select wines, $8 cocktails, and $10 antipasti -- a different deal from the Sunday cavatelli special at the same address.
