Temples: The BLISS Tour

Thalia Hall · Pilsen

About This Event

Temples formed in Kettering, England in 2012, when James Bagshaw and Tom Walmsley started recording four-track demos that sounded uncannily like a lost psychedelic acetate from 1968 — a sound so fully formed out of the gate that early champions Noel Gallagher and Johnny Marr were telling people about them before most of the UK press had caught on. Their debut, Sun Structures, hit No. 7 on the UK Albums Chart and was named Rough Trade's Album of the Year.

BLISS, out in 2026, is their fifth album and the first they self-produced without an outside producer in the room — a return to the band just working things out together, now with late-'90s/early-2000s dance music folded into the usual 60s-psych palette. It's a real stylistic turn for a band that's spent over a decade being very good at one specific sound.

This show kicks off the North American leg after a run that started at Austin's Levitation Festival; GIFT opens, so the fuzz starts early — get there on time if you don't want to miss it.
