MCA Family Day

About This Event

MCA Family Day runs one Saturday a month from October through May, pairing a Chicago artist-led performance with hands-on workshops, open studio time, and gallery tours built around that month's theme — December's edition is "Hibernate, Meditate," January's is "Take Your Time." It's aimed at kids under 12 and the adults with them, and admission is free for the day.

The series is funded through the MCA Women's Board Family Education Initiative along with support from Northern Trust and the Peoples Gas Community Fund — part of a broader push to make the museum's contemporary-art programming genuinely accessible to families who might not otherwise think a contemporary art museum is for them.
