Joey Diaz: 62 & Still Slinging Tour
About This Event
Diaz opens the 2026 edition of the 312 Comedy Festival, the Chicago stand-up run that also brings Ron White and a three-night Nikki Glaser stand this November — born José Antonio Díaz in Havana, Cuba in 1963, he pursued stand-up full time starting in 1991 around Colorado and Seattle before relocating to Los Angeles in 1995 to chase acting work. The real audience build came later: starting in 2010, regular appearances on The Joe Rogan Experience turned him into one of that podcast ecosystem's most recognizable storytellers.
He launched his own show, The Church of What's Happening Now, in 2012 with producer/sidekick Lee Syatt — the name came from a phrase his old car-sales manager in Boulder used to say — and has since moved on to hosting Uncle Joey's Joint. The 62 & Still Slinging tour name is exactly what it sounds like: a 62-year-old road comic who shows no sign of slowing the pace of stories down.
Worth knowing: ticket prices swing wildly by reseller — we found listings anywhere from $66 to well over $800 for the same show — so compare a couple of sites, or check the Chicago Theatre box office directly, before buying.
