XG: The Core World Tour

United Center · Near West Side

About This Event

XG played Chicago for the first time two years ago, and it was at Wintrust Arena — a mid-sized room, the kind of booking a young act gets before anyone's sure how big the audience really is. The Core tour answers that question: this stop is the United Center, arena-scale for real, part of a North American run that also hits Los Angeles, Hamilton, Newark and Dallas.

The seven members — Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Harvey, Juria, Maya and Cocona — are all Japanese, trained and based for years in South Korea under XGALX, an avex-backed label that built them in the K-pop idol mold but markets the group's sound as something it calls 'X-pop': mostly English lyrics, hip-hop and R&B-leaning production, and a visual presentation a few steps more aggressive than typical J-pop. They debuted in 2022 with 'Tippy Toes' and built an audience largely online before ever headlining a U.S. arena.

Worth knowing: face-value pricing wasn't published as of this writing — resale listings run from roughly $46 to $53, and Ticketmaster is the official outlet, so check there before buying resale.
