Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon (Fulldome Show)
About This Event
This isn't a generic laser-show knockoff set to classic rock — it's Pink Floyd's own officially licensed fulldome production, made for Dark Side of the Moon's 50th anniversary and now touring roughly 100 planetariums worldwide. Aubrey Powell, co-founder of Hipgnosis (the design studio behind the album's iconic prism cover and much of the band's visual identity), worked with production studio NSC Creative to build it, and the band itself has embraced the result.
Each of the album's ten tracks gets its own visual theme, played in order, mixing futuristic imagery with retro nods to Pink Floyd's own visual history — all projected across the full dome with surround sound, which is a meaningfully different experience than hearing the record through headphones or at a normal venue. The Adler's run started Jan 1, 2026 and has settled into a steady weekly schedule.
Worth knowing: $20 on top of museum admission, recommended for ages 11 and up given the length and intensity, and the Wednesday 9:10 PM showtime in particular makes a legitimate low-key date night, not just a daytime field-trip add-on.
