Chicago Wolves "Howl-O-Ween Night" vs. Texas Stars
About This Event
The Wolves' Howl-O-Ween game is the family-friendly counter-program to a night full of 21+ parties — trick-or-treating on the concourse, costumes welcome in the stands, and real AHL hockey in between candy runs.
The Wolves have played at Allstate Arena since the franchise started in 1994, originally in the old International Hockey League before it folded in 2001 and the team moved to the AHL. They've changed NHL parent-club affiliations several times since — the Atlanta Thrashers, then Vancouver, then St. Louis — and have been the Carolina Hurricanes' AHL affiliate since 2024. Across both leagues, they've won five total championships: two Turner Cups in the IHL (1998, 2000) and three Calder Cups in the AHL (2002, 2008, 2022), a genuinely deep trophy case for a team most casual Chicago sports fans have never been to a single game of.
Worth knowing: puck drop is 7:00 PM, and ticket pricing isn't listed on the team's own site yet — check chicagowolves.com closer to the date.
