Chicago Flower & Garden Show
About This Event
The Chicago Flower & Garden Show turns Navy Pier's Festival Hall into an indoor spring garden for over a week every March — full landscaped displays, a vendor marketplace, cooking demos, the whole thing built for anyone tired of the city still being gray in early spring.
It's astonishingly old for something this low-key. Its roots trace back to 1847 as a Chicago fruit and flower expo — meaning it predates the Civil War, and by some accounts it's the single oldest recurring event in the city of Chicago, and the second-oldest flower show in the country. It's moved venues more than once over that span; most recently it returned to Navy Pier after a two-year run out in Rosemont.
Worth knowing: sources disagree on the exact 2027 dates — one points to March 7–15, another to March 18–22 — so treat the date on the card above as unconfirmed until the show's own page settles it closer to spring.
