📍 4729 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60625

Willow Cafe and Bistro took over Lincoln Square's beloved Cafe Selmarie space when its longtime owners retired and closed up in April 2024, and new owner Andrew Pillman built a comfort-leaning American bistro menu in its place rather than trying to recreate the original.

Duck confit, a truffle mac and cheese, and a chicken schnitzel anchor a seasonal, vegetarian-friendly menu built for sharing a few well-executed plates rather than grazing through a long list of small ones.

It's a genuine changing-of-the-guard spot for the neighborhood — new ownership, new identity, same address locals already knew to go to.
