Weber's Bakery has been a family operation since Erich H. Weber opened it in 1930 at 45th and Kedzie, and it's now four generations deep — Rebecca Weber trained at Chicago's French Pastry School before coming back to run the family business her great-grandfather started, a succession story that a lot of century-old bakeries can't actually claim with a straight face.
