The accolades kept coming before and after -- Esquire put Virtue on its "100 Restaurants We Can't Afford to Lose" list in the pandemic's early days, and the New York Times featured it in a 2019 piece on Black-owned restaurants and chefs nationally. Williams also runs Daisy's Po'Boy and Tavern, and one of his Virtue cooks, Damarr Brown, went on to compete on Top Chef, a run that got its own coverage from WWD and Fox 32. Cornbread and short rib are the most-recommended items; reservations are strongly recommended, as walk-ins report hour-long waits.
Closed Mondays. It's carried a Michelin Bib Gourmand for both 2024 and 2025.
