Village Inn Family Restaurant - Huntley

Iconic/NotableHistoric Downtown Huntley · American Diner Community-sourced, unverified

📍 11713 E Main St, Huntley, IL 60142

Village Inn has been a downtown Huntley cornerstone since 1967, per the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce's own description, which makes it genuinely older than most of this entire database.

A downtown Huntley diner running since 1967, under the same family's ownership since 1980, which just celebrated its 45th anniversary with dedicated regional news coverage.

Current ownership traces back to Venetia Kamberis's grandfather, who bought the diner in 1980 — a real multi-generational family business, not a recent acquisition. A dedicated March 2025 news feature marking its 45th anniversary (under this ownership specifically) is the kind of milestone coverage that confirms real, sustained local-institution status rather than just longevity on paper.

For downtown Huntley's historic core, this is as close to a guaranteed authentic stop as the research turns up.
