The restaurant draws a line a lot of "vegetarian-friendly" places don't -- strictly vegetarian, no meat, eggs, or alcohol at all, across more than 50 dishes spanning North and South Indian cooking. The medhu vada, dosas, and uthapam get named most often by visitors working the South Indian half of the menu, while house-made naan and garlic bread anchor the North Indian side. Its name translates to "morning star of peace," which the restaurant leans into as part of its identity.
