The taproom does real volume beyond the kitchen -- Monday night is Pub Trivia, free to play and reliably full enough that reservations are worth making, and happy hour runs weekdays from 2:30 to 5:30pm with beer and appetizer specials.
Live local bands play the patio or taproom on weekends in warmer months, and walk-ins run on a waitlist for larger groups, so calling ahead is the real move if you're coming with more than a couple of people. The taproom stays open across an unusually wide stretch -- noon to 10pm on weeknights, later on weekends -- with free Wi-Fi for anyone settling in for the long haul.
