Tune-Up opened in February 2026 inside a former Tepco Tune-Up auto shop on Belmont Avenue, and the team behind it — the same group running Estelle's and The Owl, under Four Entertainment Group — clearly decided the garage bones were a feature, not a problem to design around.

The space keeps a 42-seat U-shaped bar wrapped in industrial light fixtures, vintage wood dollies, and an actual Oldsmobile Cutlass side panel mounted somewhere in the 3,500 square feet, plus a 1,200-square-foot back patio for when the seasonal exterior bar is running. There's no kitchen, on purpose — food comes from local purveyors like A Beautiful Rind and a rotating slate of pop-ups instead, which keeps the focus on an 11-drink seasonal cocktail list that includes a 'phony negroni' for anyone skipping alcohol, alongside THC seltzers for anyone skipping it differently. The real headline is the hours: open until 4 a.m. Sunday through Friday and 5 a.m. on Saturdays, which puts it on a short list of Chicago bars actually built for the after-hours crowd rather than closing at a civilized 2.

The happy hour backs that up — half-price on everything, Monday through Friday, 4 to 7 p.m., straight from the bar's own site, not a stale aggregator listing. Programming fills the rest of the week: bingo, DJs, trivia, live bands, whatever keeps a late-night neighborhood bar from just being a room to drink in. Still new enough that it hasn't built much of a reputation yet — but a half-price happy hour and a 5 a.m. Saturday close is a pretty direct pitch for one.
