Toast It Iz

Iconic/NotableEvergreen Park (suburb) · Southern / Creole / Brunch Community-sourced, unverified
📍 Evergreen Park (suburb), Evergreen Park, IL 60805 — street address not listed

Toast It Iz treats brunch less like a meal and more like a show — reviewers describe the weekend crowd, the DJ, and the overall energy as closer to a daytime club than a typical Evergreen Park breakfast spot, and the menu backs that up with dishes built for a crowd: gumbo grits, fried catfish, banana pudding waffles, lollipop lamb chops, and mimosa towers built for sharing.

$$

It's a genuine departure from the diner-and-bakery character the rest of this suburb's entries lean toward, and that contrast is part of the appeal. Service isn't flawless — one diner showed up for a booked reservation only to find the place closed for a private event with no heads-up, worth knowing before you plan a tight schedule around it.

There's no posted discount or happy-hour deal here; the draw is squarely the brunch experience itself, loud music and all, not a coupon.
